Residents Age 60+

Through an Older American Grant, ERLS provides free legal assistance to Eastern South Dakota residents who are 60 and older.  Staff attorneys provide legal advice and representation in appropriate court cases.  Typical Older American cases include, but are not limited to the following types of legal problems:

• Medicaid (Title 19)
• Medicare
• Long Term Care
• Social Security
• SSI
• Food Stamps
• Subsidized Housing
• Elder (financial, physical, emotional, or neglect) abuse
• Consumer law problems
• Power of Attorney
• Wills & Estates
• Adult Guardianship
